Part of the Keysight Technologies PathWave software suite, PathWave EM Design is an integrated development environment for simulation purposes: simulation, design, and production engineering workflows all come together in one package. The 2023 Update Version 0.1 focuses on upgrading the electromagnetic simulation engine by developing new methods for the simulation of antennas, RF circuits, PCBs, and high speed interconnects like connectors.

PathWave EM Design contains essential tools to realize electromagnetic principles such as full-wave 3D electromagnetic analysis, circuit and field coupling, and signal integrity analysis.

This edition has been specially tailored to address the challenges of developing more and more complex electronic devices, which is due to the fast-growing demand for 5G, IoT, and high-resolution radar systems, where the accuracy of EM simulations is crucial. The integration of highly advanced algorithms and the leverage of high-performance computing units provide PathWave EM Design 2023 Update 0.1 with an avenue for its users to achieve fast simulation times without misplacing accuracy.

Now available, PathWave EM Design 2023 Update 0.1 delivers a robust toolbox for electromagnetic analysis and simulation purposes in a one-stop manner. The main function of the software is to combine different methods, such as the finite element method (FEM), method of moments (MoM), and finite-difference time-domain (FDTD), to allow users to choose the most appropriate technique for the given design based on the requirements.
